"The numerics course will be a self-directed, tutorial style course focusing on good modern software practices. You'll follow along to notes on the course website: https://chrishalcrow.github.io/SIG_soliton_numerics/. However, the course is pretty ambitious. It might take ~10 hours to get through the whole thing. So, if you're keen, please **do as much of the course as you can before the workshop**. If you're not keen, that's ok - you can do as much as you can during the week. Before the workshop, please read the introduction and complete the first Section "Installation". Any issues, get in touch with chalcrow@ed.ac.uk . Note: If you'd prefer to use this time to work on your own numerics projects and get feedback on them, please do so.
